Following the great work Imran Shaik on creating world map in XAML (http://silverlight2.blogspot.com/2007/12/silverlight-world-map.html), I decided to improve it a bit:

• Every country is highlighted on mouse hover/out and can be selected
• All these properties can be customised from single style definitions in XAML and C# code behind
• Labels are added for each continent; these can potentially select all countries within certain continent
• Tooltips are added for countries within South America just for the demo purposes

Post Office Kiosk prototype by Industrial Facility will hopefully solve the problem of long queues at post offices in the UK.

 

The research of prototype designers shows that:

“Almost a quarter of people visiting Post Office have to wait at least 10 minutes. The Post Office lost 184,000,000 pounds in year 2008”

User interface and the virtual assistant were quite amusing :-)

What a useful gadget! Solves two problems when using laptop on your knees: no more leg “heating” and there’s a space for convenient use of your external mouse! Wonderful!
